Stop the Gambian Rat!

GambianRatLogo.jpg

The Gambian rat was imported as an “exotic” pet and escaped into the Florida Keys. This foreign species—which is fifteen inches long and weighs about nine pounds—is a serious threat to Florida’s native ecosystem and our economy.

Currently, the Gambian Rat is isolated on Long Key, but we have to keep it from spreading and prevent it from destroying Florida's native ecosystem.

To learn more about why we need to prevent the Gambian Rat from spreading, listen to FWC Specialist, Scott Hardin, in our Podcast area.

If you're ready to help us battle the Gambian Rat, then click the Donate graphic below to help us stop the Gambian Rat Now!!
